On August 4, I spoke with Cormac Connor, Todd Gee, Michael Schrier, and Julia Kopcienski for the latest edition of Husch Blackwell’s Government Enforcement, Compliance & Investigations webinar series. The session examined the federal government’s expanding use of the False Claims Act and other mechanisms to enforce the current administration’s anti-discrimination policy. The panel discussed the key executive orders, Federal Acquisition Regulation updates, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Department of Justice guidance driving this shift. They also walked through the False Claims Act’s core elements as applied to anti-discrimination certifications and outlined the practical steps contractors, federal fund recipients, and other organizations should be taking now.
